Uniting for a Cleaner Future: Gate Charity's Success at World Cleanup Day Jambi 2023

Gate Charity, the global non-profit philanthropic organization of Gate Group, is pleased to announce the successful culmination of World Cleanup Day (WCD) Jambi, held on September 24, 2023, in Jambi, Indonesia. This event marked a significant milestone in the global effort to combat waste and environmental degradation.

Under the tagline of "#kami13juta relawan untuk aksi pungut sampah terbesar di dunia" (We are 13 million volunteers for the world's largest cleanup), WCD Jambi united people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and races to address the pressing issue of global waste. This initiative was a part of the larger World Cleanup Day Indonesia movement, organized by Let's Do It! Indonesia, an organization under Let's Do It! World since 2014, and legally protected by Yayasan Lestari dari Indonesia (LDI). Let's Do It! World (LDIW) is an official UN Environment Programme accredited program and collaborates with the UN SDG Action Campaign.

WCD Jambi brought together approximately 300 enthusiastic volunteers from across Jambi Province, who dedicated their time and energy to cleaning up the environment and raising awareness about waste management. The event commenced at 08:00 AM (UTC+7) and concluded successfully.

As a part of its commitment to this noble cause, Gate Charity donated US$200 to support WCD Jambi. Additionally, Gate Charity provided 20 T-shirts featuring its logo for participants, further promoting the organization's involvement. Gate Charity team expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and partners for their unwavering support in making WCD Jambi 2023 a resounding success.
