Abstract: This article examines SpaceX's expanding role in the Golden Dome missile defense program, where it is developing command-and-control software with partners such as Anduril, Palantir, and Aalyria to fuse data across systems. The SHIELD contracting framework underpins the effort, which aims to support a 2027 in-orbit test of space-based interceptors, though software integration remains a key, unproven component.
