Recently, Farcaster founder Dan Romero announced on social media that Farcaster would collaborate with developers and projects interested in offering airdrops to users.  

By joining the program and completing required tasks, users can build a positive reputation and become eligible for future airdrops. Ultimately, developers will have the freedom to decide their target users.  

The first airdrop is scheduled for next week. Dan Romero clarified that the airdrops will come from frameworks built by ecosystem developers.  

The core of this mechanism lies in establishing a two-way reputation system. Developers can set the goals for their airdrops and the actions they expect users to take, such as using specific Frames or participating in particular channels.

##Airdrop Rules
Users can freely choose whether to participate in the airdrop program. Those who opt-in and complete the required tasks as specified by developers will see their reputation improve, increasing their chances of receiving future airdrops. Conversely, users who join but fail to fulfill the specified tasks after claiming an airdrop may see their reputation affected, potentially reducing their chances of receiving future airdrops.  

Developers have complete freedom to decide their target users for airdrops, as relevant data is permissionlessly accessible. Founder Dan Romero stated that future Farcaster airdrops will prioritize rewarding users who actively engage with the product and align with developers' goals. To increase their chances of being selected for airdrops, users are encouraged to actively participate in Farcaster's ecosystem activities, including frequently posting Casts, using Frames, and conducting on-chain transactions. The more active users are, the higher their chances of being selected for airdrops.  

The experimental airdrop program reflects Farcaster's strategic vision. The goal is to increase the number of funded and active mobile wallets, enabling users to transact within Frames after completing minimal tasks. Founder Dan Romero mentioned that after about a month of operation, the number of funded Warplet wallets on the Farcaster platform has exceeded 60,000, with tens of thousands of additional mobile wallets connected via MWP. Increasing the number of funded and active mobile wallets will drive Frames usage, further enriching the content ecosystem on Farcaster. The richer the content, the more reasons users have to stay on Farcaster, fostering a complementary relationship with other networks. As users explore more Frames on-chain, they are also more likely to post Casts and use social features, creating a virtuous cycle.  

To address potential user concerns, the Farcaster team emphasized that participation in this airdrop program is entirely voluntary. Users can choose not to participate or redeem their airdrops immediately after claiming them. However, such behavior may affect developers' willingness to offer airdrops to the same users in the future. Developers will clearly outline the specific tasks they expect users to complete before each airdrop, and the requirements may vary for each airdrop. Through this approach, the Farcaster team aims to further incentivize users to actively participate in ecosystem development while promoting the platform's long-term growth and content expansion.
