Qatar Emir and U.S. President Trump Discuss Regional Situation
On March 7th local time, Qatari Emir Tamim had a phone call with U.S. President Trump, during which they exchanged views on the current regional situation. Tamim stated that the escalation of the regional situation has a serious impact on international peace and security, and emphasized the importance of containing the crisis and strengthening diplomatic efforts to end the current situation. He also pointed out that Qatar will take all necessary measures in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law to defend national sovereignty, security, and interests. During the call, both sides also stressed the need to work together to maintain regional and international stability, support political solutions to ease current tensions, and prevent further escalation.
