War Update: 160 Combat Engagements On Front Line Since Past Day, Defense Forces Halt 21 Assaults In Pokrovsk Sector

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook regarding the situation as of 08:00 on Wednesday, February 18.

The enemy carried out two missile strikes using 30 missiles and conducted 76 air strikes, dropping 168 glide bombs.

In addition, the Russians deployed 8,470 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,323 shelling incidents, including 67 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

The Russian army struck with precision-guided bombs in Kucherivka and Volfyne in the Sumy region; Pidgavrylivka, Havrylivka, Velykomykhailivka, Orly, and Fedorivske in the Dnipropetrovsk region; and Vozdvyzhivka, Lisne, Verkhni Tersy, Myrne, Charivne, Veselyanka, Liubymivka, Myrivka, Novoselivka, Liubitske, Dolynka, Kopani, and Omelnyk in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit three areas of enemy personnel concentration, one artillery system, a UAV control point, and three other important targets of the Russian invaders.

In the ** Northern Slobozhanshchyna** and ** Kursk** sectors, the enemy carried out 99 shelling attacks, 12 of which were from MLRS.

In the ** Southern Slobozhanshchyna** sector, the Russians launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipka, and toward Okhrimivka.

In the ** Kupiansk** sector, three enemy attacks occurred yesterday. The Defense Forces repelled Russian assault actions toward Kurylivka and Novoosynove.

In the ** Lyman** sector, the enemy attacked eight times, attempting to advance near Zarichne and toward Druzheliubivka and Stavky.

In the ** Sloviansk** sector, the Defense Forces repelled 10 attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Yampil, Zakitne, Riznykivka, Platonivka, Dronivka, and Sviato-Pokrovske.

In the ** Kramatorsk** sector, the Russians attempted to advance three times near Stupochky and toward Novodmytrivka.

In the ** Kostyantynivka** sector, the enemy carried out 14 attacks in the areas of Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka, and toward Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novopavlivka, and Ivanopillia.

In the ** Pokrovsk** sector, the Defense Forces stopped 21 assault and offensive actions of the Russian army in the areas of Rodynske, Kotlyne, Filia, and toward Novooleksandrivka and Novopidhorodne.

In the ** Oleksandrivka** sector, the enemy attacked six times in the areas of Ternove, Rybne, and toward Danylivka and Tsehelne.

In the ** Huliaipole** sector, the Russian army tried to advance 31 times in the areas of Dobropillia, Huliaipole, Solodke, Pryluky, Zelene, and toward Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, and Staroukrainka.

In the ** Orikhiv** sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the ** Prydniprovske** sector, the Russian forces carried out two unsuccessful attacks.

In the ** Volyn** and ** Polissia** sectors, no signs of forming offensive groups by the Russian army were detected.

As Ukrinform reported, total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to February 18, 2026, amount to approximately 1,256,080 personnel.
