According to Cointelegraph, Ethereum developers have reached a consensus and plan to deploy future Hard Forks faster to accelerate Ethereum's development roadmap.

At the 'All Core Developers' meeting held on February 13th, core developers of Ethereum and ecosystem leaders unanimously supported future Ethereum protocol upgrades at a faster pace. The meeting had at least 25 participants, including Ethereum Foundation researcher Tim Beiko, discussing the Pectra upgrade and the Fusaka upgrade.

"Based on the strong Consensus of the Pectra review post, everyone hopes for a faster Hard Fork pace," said Nixo Rokish, a member of the ETH Foundation's protocol support team, in a post on February 13th. "This will mean no more delays in scope and a more proactive approach to proposing opinions."

Pectra's upgrade is expected to take place in April, aiming to bring more functionality to the crypto wallet and improve user experience (UX). This upgrade may be the largest in Ethereum's history, involving as many as 20 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs). In addition to improving user experience, it also includes an extension proposal to increase data availability blob count from triple to sixfold.

Beiko stated during the meeting that the Pectra system contract will be launched on the ETH mainnet on February 17th.

Ether developers have also set a deadline of April 10 to complete the Fusaka upgrade, which includes several key EIPs focused on improving the transaction inclusion process. Developers must propose EIPs for inclusion in Fusaka by March 13, and the community must share preferences for EIPs to be included by March 27.

This comes as risk capital firm Paradigm, focusing on the encrypted field, calls on Ethereum core developers to accelerate protocol updates, achieve more milestones on the technical roadmap, and maintain its competitive advantage as a leading Layer 1 blockchain.

Paradigm stated in a post on January 27th: "ETH can accelerate its march towards many high-impact improvements without sacrificing its value." and added, "The discussion about trade-offs may be too late and may lead to ossification."

Empowering them with faster action authorization and parallel advancement will enable Ethereum to solve problems more quickly and avoid getting stuck in premature debates.
