PANews reported on March 12 that Hyperliquid posted on the X platform: "Regarding the comments and issues of user 0xf3f4's ETH long positions, we hereby clarify: there was no protocol vulnerability or hacker attack exploited. The user had unrealized profit and loss (PNL), which led to a decrease in their margin and ultimately forced the position to be liquidated. The final PNL was approximately $1.8 million. In the past 24 hours, HLP has lost about $4 million. HLP's total historical PNL remains at approximately $60 million. It is important to note that HLP is not a risk-free strategy. We will update the maximum leverage for BTC and ETH long positions to 40x and 25x, respectively, to increase the maintenance margin requirement for large positions. This will provide better cushioning for the forced liquidation of large positions.
