BlockBeats news, On March 12, according to BlockWorks, Dragonfly pointed out in a report that the potential income loss for US users due to geographical restrictions is estimated to be around 19 billion to 26.4 billion US dollars. Dragonfly wrote: "By 2024, we estimate that 22-24% of all active encryption addresses globally belong to US residents. The 11 projects we sampled have created a total airdrop value of about 7.16 billion US dollars, with approximately 1.9 million participants globally during this period, and the median claim value per eligible address is about 46,000 US dollars. The federal tax revenue loss caused by these geofenced airdrops is estimated to be between 418 million and 1.1 billion US dollars, in addition to a state tax revenue loss of 107 million to 284 million US dollars. These figures do not include any further tax revenue that may arise from capital gains tax upon the eventual sale of these tokens.
