In contract trading, profits and losses are typically the only outcomes that are recorded, and the trading process itself seldom creates lasting value. The Gate Contract Points System leverages automation to transform trading volume, asset allocation, and community engagement into cumulative points, ensuring that every market interaction contributes to future trading activities. This creates a sustainable reward framework for contract trading.

From Single-Settlement to Cumulative Participation

In contract trading, most systems focus exclusively on the final outcome—profit or loss. Frequent trading, capital allocation, and sustained market participation are typically reset to zero once a position is closed, with no recognition or retention of these efforts. This structure makes it challenging for long-term trading activity to generate ongoing rewards.

Gate’s contract points mechanism addresses this structural gap by creating an accumulable and redeemable value system for contract trading participation.

Core Logic of Points

Unlike traditional promotions, Gate contract points are not awarded for a single successful trade. Instead, the system treats overall participation as the source of value. As long as users continue contract trading, maintain assets in their accounts, or expand the community through invitations, the system automatically converts these actions into points.

Points do not require immediate redemption and do not disrupt existing trading routines. They serve as a strategic resource for future use, allowing past market activity to retain value going forward.

Fully Automated Operation Lowers the Barrier to Entry

Gate contract points are fully automated. There is no need to register or complete specific tasks. Trade volume calculations, asset snapshots, and point settlements are all handled by the system in the background. Users simply trade and manage assets as usual, and points accumulate naturally. This seamless integration ensures the rewards mechanism is not an extra burden and is well-suited for long-term engagement.

Three Accumulation Paths for Different Trading Styles

1. Accumulate Points Through Trading Activity

The more frequently you trade each day, the greater your rewards:

  • Earn 1 point for every $400 in trading volume
  • Both opening and closing trades count toward the total
  • No daily cap—active users can accumulate unlimited points

Maintaining a steady trading rhythm means every transaction contributes to your long-term returns.

2. Exchange Asset Allocation for Time Value

The system automatically takes daily snapshots of account balances (including spot assets in unified accounts) and awards points based on asset amounts:

  • $100 ≤ balance < $1,000: 1 point/day
  • $1,000 ≤ balance < $10,000: 2 points/day
  • $10,000 ≤ balance < $100,000: 3 points/day
  • ≥ $100,000: 4 points/day

(Note: Funds in wealth management accounts are excluded from the snapshot.)

3. Expand Your Value Network Through Invitations

Inviting friends to participate in contract trading also earns points:

  • Invite 1 friend: 1 point
  • Invite 2 friends: 2 points
  • Invite 3 or more: 3 points

Only valid if the invitee successfully accumulates at least 2 points.

What Can Points Be Used For?

Once you’ve accumulated enough points, you can redeem them for a variety of tools directly related to contract trading, such as:

  • Cash Tokens to reduce trading costs
  • Position offset tools to enhance operational flexibility
  • Trial rewards for strategy testing

Points are designed as part of a feedback loop within the trading ecosystem, strengthening overall operational efficiency. Gate also notes that future use cases for points will continue to expand as the contract ecosystem evolves.

Transparency Is Essential for Long-Term Usability

To ensure fairness, Gate contract points have clear rules, including a 15-day validity period, a first-expired-first-used policy, and exclusions for certain account types. Understanding these terms helps users plan redemptions and trading pace more effectively.

A Recurring, Self-Sustaining Trading Loop

Starting from trading and holding activities, accumulating points, and then using them to optimize trading costs and efficiency, Gate contract points create a structure that supports sustained long-term engagement. Whether you are a high-frequency trader, asset allocator, or community builder, you can find your place in this system.

Summary

The Gate contract points program does not require traders to change their existing strategies. Instead, it redefines the value of participation. With this system, every order, every day of asset allocation, and each effective community interaction become more than just steps in a process—they transform into advantages for future trading. As competition in the market intensifies, building a structure for long-term accumulation is often more decisive than individual gains or losses. This is the very gap that Gate contract points seek to fill.

AI-Native Settlement Layers: How United Stables Is Building the Next Financial Rail

Stablecoins were originally designed as dollar substitutes within exchanges, primarily used for asset pricing and trade settlement. As on-chain financial ecosystems have matured, their role has expanded beyond simple payments to include collateral assets, cross-chain liquidity mediums, and unified settlement units. In particular, as AI systems and automated agents begin to participate directly in economic activity, demand has risen sharply for programmable value units capable of instant settlement. This shift is pushing stablecoins toward the role of foundational financial infrastructure.

Aster vs Hyperliquid: Which Perp DEX Will Prevail?

Aster and Hyperliquid are the two representative protocols of the "purpose-built L1 path" within the current decentralized perpetual exchange (Perp DEX) sector. As a pioneer in the field, Hyperliquid has built a deep liquidity moat through its highly mature order book architecture and strong community consensus. Conversely, Aster, as a rising challenger, seeks to leapfrog the competition in high-performance trading through more aggressive multi-chain aggregation logic, private transaction modules, and an underlying execution environment optimized for 2026 market demands.

DePIN Identity Network and Real World Applications: How Humanity Protocol Brings on-chain Identity Into the Physical World

Most Web3 identity systems remain confined to on-chain environments and struggle to achieve meaningful adoption in real world settings. Through a DePIN architecture and physical verification hardware, Humanity Protocol aims to bring decentralized identity into access control systems, hospitality, public services, and offline events, allowing on-chain identity to function not just as a digital credential, but as foundational infrastructure for real world access.

Aerodrome Tokenomics: How ve(3,3) Powers Base's Most Profitable DEX

AERO is the native token of Aerodrome Finance, a core decentralized exchange and liquidity protocol in the Base ecosystem. It is primarily used for liquidity incentives and ecosystem operations. veAERO is a governance NFT that users receive by locking AERO, representing both voting power and the right to share protocol revenue. Through a dual track structure of AERO as a utility token and veAERO as a governance credential, Aerodrome separates liquidity usage value from long term governance power, allowing participants to act as liquidity providers, governance decision makers, and revenue sharers within the same system.
