Amazon CEO: AI Will Double AWS Revenue Expectations Over the Next Decade to $600 Billion

According to CoinWorld, based on monitoring by 1M AI News, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated during an all-hands meeting that his previous forecast over the past few years was for AWS to reach an annualized revenue of $300 billion in ten years. However, the development of AI has led him to believe this figure could at least double, reaching over $600 billion by 2036. AWS’s total revenue for 2025 is $128.7 billion. Addressing Wall Street’s concerns about Amazon’s $200 billion capital expenditure plan this year, Jassy responded, “We are not spending this money because we expect AI to have a major breakthrough,” adding that the company has “very clear and significant demand signals.” He explained that the faster AWS grows, the higher the short-term capital expenditure, as land, electricity, buildings, chips, servers, and network equipment all need to be planned two years in advance.
