Pumpfun updates the token fee mechanism, allowing creators to redirect fees only once

Gate News reports that on March 24, Pumpfun co-founder alon posted on the X platform stating that the platform has updated its token fee mechanism to reduce manipulation. Under the new rules, each token defaults to standard creator fees, and creators have only one chance to redirect the fee to another address. Once done, it will be permanently locked unless adjusted through the CTO process. Previously, creators could change fee distributions multiple times, which led to manipulation and user dissatisfaction. This update also applies to existing tokens, where tokens with set fee distributions will be locked, and those without will retain one modification opportunity.
