BlockBeats News, March 25 — Pump.fun has tightened its fee settings for token creators. Each token deployer is now only allowed to change the fee recipient wallet once after launch; after that, the configuration will be permanently locked. This update aims to prevent creators from arbitrarily changing the fee recipient after a token becomes popular, thereby manipulating revenue distribution.
This adjustment is part of Pump.fun’s ongoing efforts to optimize its creator fee model this year. In January, it admitted that the original model overly favored token deployers rather than traders, and subsequently introduced measures such as multi-wallet distribution and post-launch control. In February, it launched “Cashback Coins,” requiring creators to decide at deployment whether the fees go to themselves or are returned to traders, and locking in the overall model.
