Xenea’s public testnet, Ubusuna, is live. Phase 2 of the mainnet roadmap has moved from internal load testing to an open network where developers and community builders can test it. This is Phase 2 of Xenea’s mainnet roadmap, moving from internal load testing to an open network where developers and community members can connect wallets, deploy smart contracts, send transactions, and verify every confirmation publicly at ubusuna.xeneascan.com

Nothing is hidden. Every transaction is visible, and every claim the network makes about itself can be checked directly on-chain by anyone who chooses to look.

What PoD Consensus Actually Does

Xenea’s Layer 1 runs on Proof of Delegation consensus, which is the distinguishing technical characteristic of the Ubusuna testnet

PoD uses two node types: Escrow nodes and Rep nodes. Transaction validation is delegated to wallets belonging to users who hold mining rights, rather than concentrating validation power in a small set of professional validators or mining pools.

The structural implication of that design is that collusion becomes difficult by design rather than just discouraged by policy. When validation rights are spread across a wide set of wallet holders instead of sitting with a small group of known validators, attacking the network gets a lot harder

For developers testing on Ubusuna, PoD consensus means the transaction confirmation behavior they observe reflects a genuinely distributed validation mechanism rather than a centralized testnet stand-in that will behave differently when real validators are involved at mainnet.

What Developers Can Do Right Now

Ubusuna is open for wallets, smart contracts, and transactions immediately. Developers can connect using XENEA Wallet or MetaMask, grab free test tokens called $TXENE through the faucet on Discord, and start building at ubusuna.xeneascan.com. Smart contract deployment is live, which means developers building on the platform’s Layer 1 can test contract behavior under real PoD consensus conditions rather than simulating it in a local environment.

The transaction visibility at ubusuna.xeneascan.com gives developers and community members the ability to watch confirmations happen in real time and verify that the network is behaving as described

Two Major Components Still Being Added

Two significant pieces of infrastructure are not yet live on Ubusuna but are being added publicly in stages. The first is a cross-chain bridge that will enable assets to move between Xenea and other networks.

The second is DACS, which stands for Decentralized Autonomous Content Storage. DACS is designed as the verifiable data layer for AI training on Xenea, using IPFS as its file system in the initial phase. The combination of verifiable data storage and AI training infrastructure is a specific architectural choice that positions its data layer as something more than general-purpose storage, targeting the emerging need for trustworthy provenance in AI training datasets.

Both components will be tested publicly as they are added rather than appearing fully formed at mainnet. That staged public testing approach means the community can observe how each piece integrates with the existing network rather than receiving a finished product with no visible history of how it was built and tested.

What Ubusuna Represents for Xenea’s Roadmap

Moving from internal load testing to a public network is a meaningful development in any blockchain’s cycle. Internal testing validates that a system works under controlled conditions. Public testing validates that it holds up when real users with unpredictable behavior patterns are stressing it from every direction simultaneously.

Xenea is inviting that stress-testing explicitly, describing Ubusuna as open for anyone to run transactions, push the consensus, and verify every claim themselves.

Conclusion

The platform’s Ubusuna testnet is live, open, and verifiable by anyone who wants to check it. PoD consensus is running, smart contract deployment is available, and free test tokens are accessible through Discord. Cross-chain bridge and DACS storage are coming in public stages. The network is not asking anyone to take its claims on faith. Everything is on-chain and visible at ubusuna.xeneascan.com.
