Gate News message, April 9, the Monad Foundation announced it will cover the cost of dedicated signing laptops for protocol teams whose TVL reaches or exceeds $2.5 million, to be used for multisig, treasury, and other critical operations. Eligible teams can contact the Monad Foundation to apply; the subsidy may require completing additional security training and routine KYC. The Monad Foundation emphasized that the signing device must never be the same computer as the one used for everyday activities like browsing the web, writing code, or attending meetings. Earlier, Monad co-founder Keone Hon called on protocol parties to immediately adopt dedicated signing computers for multisig operations and not to keep using everyday computers. He pointed out that everyday computers are extremely easy to be compromised; once a computer is taken over, even if a hardware wallet is connected, the signing process may be maliciously altered, creating security risks.
