## Cronos 'Smarturn' Upgrade is Here: 30-Minute Network Pause on October 30
The Cronos mainnet is about to undergo a major technical upgrade—'Smarturn', which is considered a significant EVM improvement.

The upgrade is scheduled for **October 30 at around 7:00 AM GMT**, at block height 38432212. During the upgrade, the network will be down for about **30 minutes**, and all EVM services (mainnet, RPC, explorer, cross-chain bridge) will be suspended.
