There’s a saying: it’s not always about how good you are—sometimes it’s just that your opponents aren’t up to par.
Take recent events as an example: on Irys, about one fifth of the total airdrop was snatched up by a bunch of Sybil accounts; Rayls didn’t fare much better, with 10% of the allocation going straight into the pockets of the same group.
Where’s the problem? Both projects used Clique for KYC and airdrop distribution. The result? This system couldn’t stop professional airdrop hunters at all; their Sybil defense was basically useless.
That said, Sentient is planning an airdrop soon, so let’s wait and see if they’ll fall into the same trap. With these recent lessons in mind, let’s watch and see if they have any new tricks up their sleeve.

Damn, Clique's defense is way too weak, they're just letting airdrop hunters exploit it at will.

Relying on Clique to prevent Sybil attacks is ridiculous; this system should have been scrapped a long time ago.

Unbelievable, Clique's defense capability is really terrible, a fifth is gone just like that?
If Sentient still uses this system, I'll laugh. Haven't they learned their lesson?

actually, let me pull up my spreadsheet here—clique's sybil resistance is taxonomically incorrect at best. 20% drainage on irys? that's not a bug, that's a feature of their evolutionary dead-end infrastructure tbh

Clique's defense is way too fragile—both projects got hit... let's just wait and see how Sentient responds.

Clique's KYC solution is really disappointing. It's already 2024 and there are still so many loopholes.

Clique's protection is really weak; it feels like it hasn't done much at all.
