Reveal my cards first: I don’t sell courses, I don’t give trading signals—I’m just an ordinary trader who’s paid tuition in the contract market for a few years.

Last year, a friend asked me: he had 3,300U in hand and wanted to use this money to break into the market. I didn’t hand him a pile of technical indicators, just gave him three hard rules—in the end, he followed them strictly for four months, and his account balance shot up to 150,000U, without a single liquidation along the way. Today, I’ll break down these three moves for you. Whether you can grasp them all comes down to your own discipline.

# # First move: Split your money into three parts, each with a specific purpose

Divide the 3,300U into three equal parts, 1,100U each, each with its own role, no interference:

- **Short-term bullets**: Open a maximum of two trades per day, exit as soon as you make a profit, and don’t chase losses. This money is for capturing intraday volatility, not gambling chips.
- **Trend ammo**: Only used when there are weekly-level signals. If there’s no clear bullish alignment, just sit tight; better to miss out than jump in blindly.
- **Lifeline reserve**: Reserved for sudden wicks and unexpected drawdowns. If your position goes wrong, refill immediately that day to make sure you can stay at the table.

All-in? Don’t even think about it. If a branch breaks, new shoots can grow; if the root breaks, it’s game over.

# # Second move: Only take the juiciest part of the trend—stay put during sideways markets

Sideways markets are meat grinders—the more you move, the faster you lose. My entry conditions are simple:

- If the daily moving averages haven’t formed a bullish alignment, stay in cash and wait;
- Only consider entering after price breaks above a previous high with volume and the daily close confirms it;
- When profits reach 30% of principal, immediately take out half, and set a 10% trailing stop for the rest—let your profits run.

There’s always another train in the market. Don’t squeeze through crowded doors—only take the smooth rides.

# # Third move: Lock your emotions—mechanical execution is the key to survival

Before entering a trade, set your “life or death line”:

- Fixed 3% stop loss—cut it immediately when hit, no hesitation;
- When profits hit 10%, move your stop loss to break-even—any further profit is the market’s gift;
- Shut down your computer at 11 pm sharp every day—no matter how tempting the charts, don’t stare at them. If you can’t sleep, just uninstall the app.

The more mechanical and boring you are, the more likely you’ll survive in this market.

One last truth: going from 3,300U to 150,000U isn’t about miracle trades—it’s about “making fewer mistakes.” There are opportunities every day, but your capital is limited—engrave these three rules in your mind first, then study wave theory or indicator combos if you want.

You have to survive before you can talk about making money; if you can’t survive, you’re just someone else’s trading fee.

Well said, that's the real truth. Making fewer mistakes is the biggest win.

What this guy said is true. I really relate to the part about not going all-in with your entire position.

Bro, these three rules make a lot of sense, but most people just can't do it—especially shutting down the computer at 11 PM.

To be honest, these three rules sound simple, but how many people can actually last 4 months without getting liquidated?

To be honest, I agree with this logic, especially the metaphor "if the tree root is cut off, there's no hope," which really resonated with me.
