Little Turtle Franklin Suddenly Goes Viral: An Edited Image by a US Official Sparks a Meme Coin

[Bitpush] Recently, a meme coin called Franklin has been going absolutely viral, racking up 9,310 transactions in just one hour and shooting straight to the top of the most active meme coins across the network. Its market cap rebounded from a low to $13.17 million, and its 24-hour trading volume soared to $19.8 million.

The coin’s logo is inspired by the lovable little turtle from the classic children’s cartoon “Franklin and Friends.” But what really set it off was a heavily edited image posted by U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on social media—he turned the wholesome children’s book “Franklin the Turtle” into “Franklin Takes Down the Drug Cartel.” In the image, the little turtle is fully armed, firing at drug boats from a helicopter, with a caption reading “Best Christmas Gift.”

Hegseth is a retired military man known for his tough stance, and this time he used a fairy tale character for political satire, clearly hinting at using force to solve the border drug problem. The post instantly went viral: supporters thought it was hardcore, while opponents flooded the comments section, accusing him of glorifying violence and stoking war sentiment, perfectly highlighting America’s partisan divide over foreign and border issues.

That said, most meme coins like this have little real utility and are purely hype-driven—their prices go up and down like a rollercoaster. Before jumping on the bandwagon, you should definitely consider whether your wallet can handle the ride.

Wow, this marketing tactic is incredible. Officials promoting products are even more aggressive than celebrities.

Haha, even the officials are starting to play with meme coins. How bored must they be? American officials' ability to drive sales is really insane—just one picture leads to over 9,000 transactions. The little turtle has gone from a warm picture book to opening fire from a helicopter, this cracks me up. How long can this coin keep rising? I bet it will go to zero within a month. A dignified minister playing with meme coins for political satire—this is magical realism. Alright then, looks like anything can get listed now. Yet another coin with official endorsement, just waiting to fleece the newbies. 9,310 transactions in one hour? Feels like I’m watching a digital magic show. Is this what political marketing will look like in 2025? I can barely hold it together. Instead of creating a coin, you might as well raise a real turtle to make money.

Haha, this move is insane. Even official promotions don't play like this. This little turtle went from a children's book to a special forces soldier in one second. In the crypto world, anything can be hyped. An official just posts a picture and the coin skyrockets. Is there any more outrageous endorsement than this? Pete really knows how to ride the hype, and it actually made the meme coin blow up.

Haha, alright then. Does the official really have such strong selling power? Even little turtles can be hyped up nowadays. There’s really nothing people aren’t willing to launch these days.

Haha, officials shilling coins, the little turtle just takes off—this is exactly how ridiculous Web3 can be. --- An American big shot casually photoshops something, and retail investors just FOMO in at the top—so funny. --- Wait, is this a political meme or do people actually believe in this coin? I’m a bit confused. --- From kids’ cartoons to meme coins, this is way too wild. Honestly, I think it’s a little disrespectful. --- 9,310 transactions in an hour—the hype is real, but I wonder how long it can last. --- The Minister of War playing with meme coins? Seriously? Is this a joke? --- The little turtle fighting drug cartels—five stars for absurdity, but it’s actually pretty entertaining. --- Buying this coin now just feels like gambling on the official’s hype—the risk is huge. --- So now officials are shitposting too? This generation of politicians is really something else.

Haha what the heck, officials are starting to promote meme coins now? Wait, is this real or just another marketing gimmick? The opening was so wild, better be careful of getting dumped on next. Pete’s move this time is hilarious, political propaganda can be played like this too. How did the little turtle become an arms dealer, even kids’ cartoons can't save it. Can this coin survive till tomorrow? I bet five ETH it can’t. A meme coin endorsed by officials—this time it really has backing.
