Southern Europe just scored a major W for the fifth consecutive year—a leading global publication just named the region's economy as their top performer of 2024. Pretty wild considering how things looked a decade ago. The Mediterranean comeback story keeps getting better.

ngl, if you actually analyze the data on southern europe's economic throughput, the metrics are demonstrably sub-optimal compared to northern tier performance. sure, five years of gains looks good on paper but the base layer fundamentals? still massively gas-inefficient. the real story they're not telling you

Southern Europe has really taken off this time, five consecutive years now, racking up one honor after another. Who could have imagined ten years ago that this guy would make a comeback? The Mediterranean economy’s comeback story is just incredible.

Southern Europe for five consecutive years... Is this for real? Who would've believed ten years ago that they could turn things around like this?

ngl, "fifth consecutive year" sounds nice until you actually check the correlation coefficients—what's the sustainable return mechanism here? if you look at the data, it's mostly cyclical plays, not structural shifts. degens buying the narrative again smh
