#数字货币市场洞察 The Fed is very likely to play both sides with this rate cut—what the market calls a "hawkish cut."

Simply put: yes, rates are being cut, but don't get too excited just yet. On one hand, liquidity is being injected into the market, but on the other, Powell still has to come out and pour cold water on things, hinting that you shouldn’t expect ongoing easy money.

Why so conflicted? Because there’s tension within the Fed itself. The doves want to keep easing to support the market, while the hawks are worried about inflation making a comeback and insist on tightening. Powell’s move is basically walking a tightrope—cutting rates to appease one side, then using tough talk to keep the other side in check.

For the crypto market, rate cuts mean improved liquidity, which is definitely positive for assets like Bitcoin in the long run. But the hawkish rhetoric will dampen market sentiment, so short-term price volatility is pretty much a given. That said, with the liquidity tap loosening, the bigger trend isn’t all that bad.

So what should retail investors do? Three words: stay calm, don’t chase.

First, don’t get too active before or right after the policy is announced—chasing pumps or panic selling now is the fastest way to get stuck holding the bag.

Second, focus on the core logic—the rate cut cycle has already started, and money will need somewhere to go. Just hold onto major coins and don’t get distracted by the noise.

Third, keep some cash on hand. If hawkish talk causes the market to dip, you'll have the chance to buy the dip and pick up cheap tokens in batches.

Expectations for rate cuts are set, but rushing in doesn’t guarantee you’ll make money. In crypto, strategy and patience are worth a lot more than impulsiveness.

Powell is really playing this perfectly—injecting liquidity while telling everyone not to expect too much, truly a model of double-dealing. In the short term, there will definitely be more volatility, but the long-term logic is sound. Just hold on to the mainstream coins and don't panic sell because of hawkish remarks.

This hawkish rate cut combo, to put it simply, is meant to keep everyone from getting too excited. Looking back three years from now, this move is actually a friendly reminder for us retail investors—not to chase the highs, because the real opportunities are in the pullbacks.

Here comes the double-dealing again. Powell’s acting is incredible—loosening policy with one hand while slapping with the other.

This hawkish rate cut operation, simply put, is just an unstable equilibrium in the liquidity model. In the short term, sentiment will definitely take a hit, but from a tokenomics perspective, a decrease in funding costs means the discount rate for risk assets is being optimized—which provides real fundamental support for mainstream coins. The key is still to strike a balance in incentives and not get blindsided by the leverage of short-term volatility.

Powell’s move is truly brilliant: on one hand, he cuts interest rates, and on the other, he pours cold water on the market, splitting crypto players into two camps arguing with each other.

A hawkish rate cut is just a "wanting it all" move, and the market is being toyed around. But Powell's tactic is indeed ruthless—easing with one hand while cooling things down with the other, just to prevent retail investors from getting burned. Hold mainstream coins and stay calm; don’t get fooled by short-term volatility into selling at a loss.
