You spent several weeks grinding an RPG on Arbitrum, finally leading your team to clear 50 high-difficulty dungeons and unlocking the "Legendary Commander" achievement badge. And then? Suddenly, a new zk-rollup game is airdropped on Polygon, boasting stunning graphics and innovative gameplay.

You eagerly switch wallets to join in—only to freeze in place.

Beginner’s village. Copper coins. Level 1 little goblin.

Your achievements? Nonexistent. Your badges? Unrecognized. That "Legendary Commander" title proving you’re no newbie? Sorry, there’s no such record on this chain. Different chains mean different universes, and all your efforts are reset to zero.

This is the most frustrating thing about blockchain games right now—every time you switch chains, you have to start from scratch to prove yourself.

But the reputation layer system that YGG is building aims to change this completely. It packages your gaming history, team collaboration records, and community contributions into an on-chain identity that can be verified across chains. In the future, no matter which game or chain you jump to, your skills and reputation can be instantly recognized.

A true Web3 game should have memory.

Sounds good, but how does this reputation system prevent Sybil attacks and data manipulation? YGG's governance has had its share of failures before, too.

Damn, this pain point hits way too hard. This is by far the dumbest design in blockchain games.

This is ridiculous. All the achievements I worked so hard for are gone just because I switched chains. It feels like my account was deleted.

Here we go again. Can YGG pull it off this time? It sounds nice, but when it comes to real implementation, we'll still have to wait...

ngl, this cross-chain identity fragmentation is basically exposing the entire market's architectural inefficiency. ygg's reputation layer is interesting theoretically, but the state transition problem they're glossing over is... substantial. until we solve for MEV extraction on identity verification itself, it's just another liquidity pool waiting to get drained. 🤷

This pain point is spot on. Every time I switch chains, it feels like being reborn—total bloodbath.
