In seven years, my account grew from 50,000 yuan to 15 million. To be honest, it’s not because my skills are exceptional, but because I managed to lock up the beast of emotion.

During the LUNA crash, my account lost 70% in three days—I felt completely drained. That night, I drank a bellyful of liquor and went to my buddy for advice. He simply said, “The market is actually pretty simple. What’s complicated is your own mind. If your heart is steady, the money will come back sooner or later.”

Those words hit me like a wake-up call—the real enemy isn’t market volatility, it’s the panicked, lost version of myself staring at the candlestick chart. Later, I gradually figured out five principles, and today I’m sharing them from the heart:

**First: Buy when it’s cold, watch when it’s hot**

Bull markets are full of show-offs, but in bear markets you see who’s really swimming naked. I usually start with 5% of my position to get a feel, and only add more when the rhythm is in my bones. I never chase the hotspots everyone’s shouting about.

**Second: The longer the sideways, the clearer the signal**

If it’s moving sideways at the bottom like it’s asleep, the whales are quietly accumulating—I’ll wait it out with them. If it’s moving sideways at the top like a hanging knife, risk is building—I exit early. To put it simply: endure sideways at the bottom, run during sideways at the top.

**Third: Don’t hesitate to sell when it’s time, be decisive to buy when it’s right**

When the price surges to the top with high volume, set your take-profit orders at resistance—don’t bother with that last bite. If it crashes to a support level, buy in batches, but have your stop-loss set ahead of time; don’t touch it unless the trigger is hit.

**Fourth: Dare to buy on red candles, dare to sell on green candles**

When it’s deep in the red and everyone is fleeing, I’m buying. When it’s blazing green and the whole internet is celebrating, I turn off my phone. Move against the crowd’s emotions, and you’ll have a chance to join the minority of winners.

**Fifth: Watch the market in the morning, act in the afternoon**

Crypto markets run 24/7, but emotions come in waves: mornings are the most impulsive, perfect for watching. By afternoon, the market settles and my mind is clearer—it’s not too late to act then.

Over time, reading the market becomes quick: one candlestick for direction, one volume bar for confirmation, and the rest is just not hesitating when it’s time to act.

I know the feeling all too well—afraid to chase when it’s rising, afraid to buy when it’s dropping, reluctant to sell when in profit, desperate to hold when losing. These four demons take turns tormenting you. There’s only one cure: set your rules in stone, execute them like a machine, and blacklist impulsiveness.

The wind will always blow, your position can be heavy, but never let your heartbeat lose its rhythm. Growing from 50,000 to 15 million wasn’t about being right every time, but about cutting losses quickly when I was wrong, and letting profits run when I was right.

Stay steady, endure, and have the courage to leave at the key moment—in this way, when the next big opportunity comes, you’ll be standing right where the money flows.
