How long can most projects survive? Just look at their incentive pool balance.
When the pool is freshly filled: everyone’s calling each other “family” and “diamond hands,” and the group chat is flooded with 99+ messages you can’t even keep up with. But when the pool is almost dry? People disappear faster than ghosts, leaving behind a pile of worthless tokens and a dead community.
To put it bluntly, it’s just a variation of a Ponzi game—using high APY as bait, and it’s all about who exits first.
That said, some teams are genuinely working hard. For example, there’s that AI project I’ve been following for a long time—they’re still building after all these years. That kind of patience is rare in this space.
