Is Tether getting into robotics now?

Just saw the news: stablecoin giant Tether has invested in an Italian AI startup called Generative Bionics. This funding round is worth €70 million (about $81.6 million). The lead investor is the AI fund under CDP Venture Capital, with follow-on investments from AMD Ventures, Duferco, Eni Next, and RoboIT.

What's the story with Generative Bionics? It's incubated by the Italian Institute of Technology and focuses on industrial-grade humanoid robots. Tether’s investment is mainly going toward the development of Physical AI systems, edge AI solutions, and establishing their first production facility.

A stablecoin company starting to build robots—this is definitely an interesting turn of events.
