Foresight News reports that Optimism has released a Superchain roadmap for quantum resistance. It includes, under governance approval, gradually phasing out external accounts (EOA) based on ECDSA in the OP mainnet and Superchain over a period of 10 years. All ECDSA EOAs must delegate private key management permissions to post-quantum smart contract accounts. After the window period ends, OP Stack chains will gradually eliminate EOA transactions signed with the original ECDSA. OP Stack chains will adopt a unified roadmap to ensure synchronized upgrades across the entire Superchain network.
