Tezos has just upgraded its network with the Tallinn version, reducing block creation time to 6 seconds, faster than before and without the need for a (hard fork).

This is Tezos's 20th major upgrade since its launch in 2018. The Tallinn upgrade brings key improvements:
- Faster transactions with lower latency.
- Reduced data storage costs for applications on Tezos.
- Allows all validator (baker) to confirm each block, thanks to the use of BLS signatures that aggregate multiple signatures into one.

The new address compression mechanism helps save storage space by approximately 100 times.
