A round trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel Temple in one day by car takes a total of 7 hours. Personally, I don't think it's worth it unless you're a big fan of Ramses II. The temple has already been relocated once; the original site is now submerged under the Nile River. It's said to be the largest relocation project in archaeological history, and now it's time to move on to the Red Sea. You've seen enough of the temple.
