#IranSetsClearCeasefireConditions

In the wake of a 12-day joint U.S.-Israeli military offensive, Iran has established firm conditions for a ceasefire. Following the reported death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the appointment of his son, Mojtaba, as successor, Tehran has shifted from initial survival mode to a defiant diplomatic stance.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that a truce is only possible if the United States and Israel provide ironclad guarantees against all future aggression. Iran maintains that without these protections, any cessation of hostilities is "meaningless." Concurrently, high-ranking officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf, have publicly spurned ceasefire talks, promising immediate retaliation for ongoing strikes. While international mediators—including Russia, China, and France—push for de-escalation, Iran’s leadership insists that the "aggressor must be punched in the mouth" to prevent future violations of its sovereignty.
