Binance has issued a compliance statement to rebut media reports related to fund flows associated with Iran, asserting that this information is inaccurate.
According to Binance's statement, approximately 126.1 million USD ultimately was transferred to wallets allegedly linked to Iran after passing through multiple intermediaries, of which approximately 24.1 million USD was related to wallets allegedly linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Binance emphasized that these funds did not originate from their platform and did not end on their platform. The exchange also stated that the related accounts had been (offboarded) from the system and reported to law enforcement authorities in accordance with regulations.
