Many people think posting more means more reach.

But on X, posting too much can actually hurt your growth.
This algorithm doesn’t want one account dominating the timeline.
It uses something called an author diversity filter, which means it won’t keep showing your posts again and again back-to-back.
So when you post 5–10 times in a short period, then your posts start competing against each other.
Instead of one strong post getting all the likes, replies, and reposts, the engagement gets split across multiple posts.
If you keep posting nonstop, the algorithm slowly learns that your content can be skipped because another post from you is coming anyway.
