# After 10 Years Missing, $BTC Bitcoin Wallet Belonging to Irish Beverage Dealer Worth $423 Million Returns Active

An old case involving missing Bitcoin belonging to an Irish spirits dealer named Clifton Collins has recaptured market attention after suspicious activity emerged from his dormant wallet.

Collins was previously reported to have lost access to approximately 6,000 BTC after the private key he wrote on paper was discarded when his house was cleaned. The value of these assets is now estimated to reach around $423.5 million.

However, after more than 10 years of inactivity, a wallet labeled "Clifton Collins: Lost Keys" suddenly became active again. The wallet was recorded sending approximately 500 BTC, worth $35.44 million, to the institutional platform Coinbase Prime.

This movement triggered speculation within the crypto community about the possibility that some of the private keys previously thought to be lost have now been found. However, there has been no official confirmation whether all assets have been recovered or only partially.

This case serves as a reminder of the importance of private key management in the crypto world. Loss of access to private keys means permanent loss of assets, unless that access can be recovered.

On the other hand, the reemergence of old wallets often attracts market attention because it has the potential to affect liquidity if assets in large quantities begin to be transferred or sold.
