Feeling really sad after hearing about Professor Zhang Xuefeng's passing.
I've watched many of his speeches before, and they were genuinely inspiring (especially for small-town youth). People from educated families or second-generation wealthy kids definitely wouldn't like him, but nobody in my family went to college, so I could relate to what he said.
Like how he'd say you need to go to first-tier cities to attend university, that first-tier cities are where opportunities are, perfect for ambitious people. Watching his journey, how he grew step by step from nothing—no family background, no connections—it's not easy to get where he did. He was an excellent businessman.
In this world, successful people always have controversy. Some love him, some hate him. But I like studying people's strengths, and since I didn't know him personally, I don't hate anyone. Everyone has strengths worth learning from.
He said he could endure hardship, and I really feel that. We had the same background, always wanting to climb higher, constantly working hard, struggling, hustling. My materialism is low, but I spend on interests. Fight is our lifelong pursuit—always wanting to prove ourselves, cure our poverty mentality, earn others' respect, give our parents a good life.
But we've all been neglecting ourselves. Professor Zhang made lots of money and was still fighting on the front lines. Brothers, work-life balance matters. Give yourself proper breaks. The AI era is coming, keep holding on. The future won't require so much effort, and lifespans will increase too.
Take care of yourselves. Ensure enough rest and sleep when exercising. I recently learned to enjoy life—I used to feel guilty about it. My sleep was never enough. I've been feeling exhausted lately. Men over 25, your body really declines fast. One all-nighter takes days to recover from.
We need to accept body changes and maintain physical and mental health. Work hard within what your body can handle. Everyone has their own path and destiny. Take care of yourself and love yourself well.
Wishing everyone good health. ❤️
