World announced on Friday that starting from July 24, its daily unlock rate of WLD tokens will decrease by a total of 43%.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is a co-founder of Tools for Humanity and the chief developer behind the World project.
The project team stated that the unlock speed for all community tokens will be reduced to 50%, that is, 1.6 million tokens per day; while the unlock speed for investor and team tokens will slow by 32%, that is, 1.3 million tokens per day. An article stated.
The project team said, “When officially launched on July 24, 2023, the 500 million WLD tokens allocated to the global community will be locked. The remaining 9.5 billion tokens will be distributed according to a daily release plan, with the last batch of tokens unlocking 15 years after launch.”
