I just read an interesting warning from an infrastructure provider about tokenized securities. Turns out the problem isn't just about technology, but also platform costs and serious liquidity fragmentation.

So here’s the thing, without proper interoperability, each platform basically becomes its own silo. As a result, costs for investors will increase because they have to deal with multiple systems, and liquidity pools become fragmented across different places. This is clearly very inefficient.

What’s interesting is that this warning comes from an infrastructure market player who really understands how these systems work. They are basically saying that if tokenized securities want to go mainstream, there needs to be standardized and solid interoperability frameworks.

From an adoption perspective, this issue could become a major bottleneck. Institutional investors will definitely prefer systems that are efficient and cost-effective. So if platform costs remain high and liquidity is fragmented, the adoption curve will be more gradual than expected.

These infrastructure players are basically pushing for a collaborative approach, not competitive siloing. It makes sense, because a healthy ecosystem needs consolidated liquidity and a reasonable cost structure. This is worth watching to see how the industry responds to this warning.
