Coinworld News: Layer 1 blockchain Viction has released a network upgrade roadmap, announcing two upgrades to be implemented in 2026: client infrastructure migration (vic-geth) and the Prometheus hard fork, aimed at enhancing network performance and scalability. The Prometheus hard fork will introduce support for Ethereum's EIP-7702, enabling external accounts to temporarily execute smart contract logic, while introducing blob-based transactions to reduce data costs, and updating the dynamic gas fee mechanism to improve pricing transparency. Before the hard fork activation, validator node operators must complete the mainnet node upgrade.
