Iran is threatening to CUT the cables.
Doing so could lead to a WORLDWIDE 30% internet blackout or slowdown internet speed in the middle east at least.
There is no need for panic yet, as the threats isn't confirmed yet.
But if the cable CUT happens. It means for months there will be no internet, no banking, no cloud usage, no crypto exchange, stock and other digital assets exchange, no communications for BILLIONS or millions of people.
Fact is:
- 30% of the world's internet passes through ONE chokepoint: the Strait of Hormuz.
- 20+ cables run through the Hormuz and Red Sea conflict zone RIGHT NOW.
-Each cable is hair-thin glass fiber sitting at 200 feet depth. ZERO military protection.
This might be their retaliation plan if TRUMP hit their major plants.
