I'm a school nurse. We have a rule: students without money for lunch receive only a cold cheese sandwich. Nothing else.
One Wednesday, a sixth-grade boy came in saying his stomach hurt. I've been doing this for twenty years. I know how to tell the difference between real pain… and hunger.
"When was the last time you ate?"
He looked down.
"Yesterday, at lunch."
I gave him a note and sent him to the cafeteria. I asked them to serve him a complete hot meal: pasta, salad, milk… everything.
The cafeteria lady read the note, looked at me… and handed him the tray without saying anything.
He

I love calls from scammers.
I pretend to be an elderly person desperate to pay them.
My record is keeping them on the line for a whole hour.
I put them on hold to "look for my wallet," yell at the cat, and ask them to repeat everything because my hearing aid "isn't working well."
Then I spend half an hour reading the credit card numbers wrong… super slowly.
At one point I even told them my kitchen was catching fire.
Very funny 😆

Millennials are an elite generation because they were capable of producing 12-page essays the night before they were due. Without ChatGPT, without Claude… just background lo-fi, midnight coffee, citations that miraculously matched up, and pure improvisation.
And still, they managed to get high marks. The end.

Genuine question…
If someone requests benefits and is able to work, is it really unreasonable to ask them to dedicate a few hours a week to help the community?
Even something as simple as picking up trash or cleaning local parks.
What are your thoughts?

Speaking about the profound contradictions of human nature, Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada said:
"Some people dream of having a swimming pool at home, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a deep sense of loss, while others often complain about family members still living. Those without a partner long to have one, while those who have one often don't appreciate it. The hungry would give anything for a meal, while the satisfied complain about the taste of their food. Those without a car dream of having one, while those who have a car always seek a better o

The story of Alison Botha is a clear example of extreme resilience.
On December 18, 1994, in Port Elizabeth (South Africa), this 27-year-old woman was kidnapped at knifepoint by Frans du Toit and Theuns Kruger in front of her house. They took her to an isolated area, where they raped her, stabbed her 36 times in the abdomen and cut her throat 17 times, then abandoned her believing her dead.
Yet, she managed to stay conscious: with one hand she held her head and with the other she tried to reposition her organs while crawling to the road. There she was found by motorists.
The doctors described

# An Elderly Woman at the Bank
An elderly woman handed her card to the cashier and said:
"I want to withdraw 10 euros".
The cashier responded:
"For amounts less than 100 euros, use the ATM".
The elderly woman asked why.
The cashier, annoyed, returned her card and said:
"Those are the rules, please leave if you're not going to do another transaction. There are more customers waiting".
The elderly woman remained silent for a few seconds, handed the cashier her card again and said:
"Then, help me withdraw all the money I have".
The cashier checked the account and was surprised. She then said resp

A couple comes in for their annual review.
2.8 million dollars. Well invested. Solid retirement. Everything is going as planned.
I ask the same question I ask everyone.
"How is your daughter?"
Mom's face was the first to change.
Their daughter is 39 years old. She hasn't asked for anything. She's never complained.
But she's been living in the same apartment for six years.
Just childcare costs 1,800 dollars a month. The down payment seems impossible.
Dad said: "We always thought she'd make it eventually."
I pulled up a simple chart.
Statistically they live until 88. She inherits at 56. Maybe at

Serious question:
Why does luggage weight matter, but not passenger weight? How is it possible that someone over 90 kg can carry the same luggage as someone under 45 kg?
Honestly I don't understand it... does anyone have a real explanation?

# The Afroman Trial
-Police raided Afroman's house for absurd reasons.
-They stole his money, broke down his door, destroyed his house.
-No crime was found, no charges were filed against Afroman.
-Afroman spent the following 3 years writing songs that mocked all the officers involved, mentioning them by name, and even using footage from the raid recorded by his own security cameras.
-The songs had titles like "Randy Walters is a Son of a Bitch" and "Lick Them, Lisa," accusing one of the female officers of being a lesbian and sleeping with the other officers' wives.
-During the raid, an officer
