🇺🇸🇮🇷 BREAKING: Trump Announces 5-Day Pause on Iran Energy Facility Strikes, Says "US-Iran Having Productive Dialogue"

Trump just posted on Truth Social stating that the United States and Iran have had "very good and productive dialogue" over the past two days. He has instructed the Department of Defense to suspend all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for 5 days — contingent on the ongoing talks being successful.

Trump previously demanded Iran open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, otherwise he would "destroy" its power plants. Now that the deadline has just passed, he suddenly released signals of de-escalation.

However, Iran quickly denied it: No direct or intermediary communication with the United States.

Meanwhile, Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan are in the middle relaying messages, attempting to mediate between the US and Iran. But Iran's military previously warned clearly: if power plants are attacked, it will completely close the Strait of Hormuz.

Market reaction: Following Trump's statement, international oil prices plummeted over 14% at one point, with Brent crude falling below $96.

A 5-day window — heading toward de-escalation or the calm before the storm?
