金十数据10月19日讯，印度媒体18日报道，印度南部喀拉拉邦近期“食脑虫”感染病例数激增，今年已累计确诊129例，造成26人死亡。“食脑虫”是一种名为福氏耐格里阿米巴原虫的寄生虫的俗称，可引起罕见疾病原发性阿米巴脑膜脑炎。“食脑虫”常生活在池塘、湖泊、河流、温泉等温暖淡水中，可通过口鼻腔等途径进入人体，主要侵袭中枢神经系统，会造成脑损伤并引发严重炎症反应。据报道，感染者早期症状包括头疼、发烧、恶心、呕吐和颈部僵硬等。这种疾病进程较快，致死率高，存活率仅为约3%。
