As of today, there are 2 sugar mills in Guangxi that have completed crushing in the 2025/26 harvest season, a decrease of 42 mills compared to the same period last year.

According to incomplete statistics, as of March 2nd, Guangxi had a total of 2 sugar mills harvesting in the 2025/26 crushing season, down 42 compared to the previous year; the combined capacity of the harvested sugar mills is 10,000 tons, a decrease of 365,500 tons year-on-year. Generally, Guangxi sugar mills delayed their start of crushing by 2 to 3 weeks in the 2025/26 season. The sugarcane yield exceeded expectations, and recent rainy weather has affected harvesting progress, causing most mills to postpone their crushing schedules. Starting from the end of February, some areas began sporadic harvesting, with the concentrated harvesting period across the region from mid to late March to early April. (Fan Tang Technology)
