Odaily Planet Daily reports that the White House has temporarily halted the release of a federal security alert warning that conflicts with Iran could pose a greater threat to the U.S. homeland. The alert was jointly drafted by the FBI, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), and was originally scheduled to be issued to state and local law enforcement agencies. A Trump administration official stated that the White House requested a delay in issuing the alert to further review its accuracy. The official said that the document, drafted by the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis, “lacks depth and is not well written,” requiring reevaluation. The White House stated that it is normal procedure for intelligence alerts from various departments to be reviewed by the White House before release, to ensure the information is accurate, up-to-date, and thoroughly verified.
