Energy facilities attacked, Ukraine has issued an emergency power aid request to Poland

On the 7th local time, Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Shmyhal stated that Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, targeting substations that are part of the national power grid’s core facilities, as well as 750 kV and 330 kV high-voltage transmission lines, and two thermal power plants. Shmyhal said that the nuclear power plant units are currently operating at reduced load under staff management. Ukraine’s national electricity company has issued an emergency power aid request to Poland. Currently, Russia has not responded to this. (CCTV News)
