In the past year, we handled over 100 major emergency incidents involving Chinese citizens and institutions abroad, processed more than 79,000 consular protection and assistance cases, answered over 600,000 calls on the 12308 consular protection hotline, and issued more than 3,000 overseas safety alerts.
