CoinWorld News reports that Web3 gaming protocol Genome released a community announcement on March 11, stating that the project is in the final stage of assessing whether to continue operations. Due to the overall market sentiment being subdued and the cooling of the InfoFi sector, the project is very likely to be terminated soon, and it has never issued tokens. Genome raised approximately $600,000 through NFT sales and public fundraising over about 8 to 10 months, in addition to the core team investing around $500,000 of their own money and deferred salaries, totaling an investment of approximately $950,000 to $1,000,000. The team stated they are still exploring possibilities for financing, acquisition, or partnerships, and committed to maintaining transparent communication.
