ChainCatcher reports that, according to Hyperinsight monitoring, the address of the “WTI crude oil largest short” (0x17c…) has been rolling over its CL (WTI crude oil) short positions continuously from last night into this morning, accumulating approximately 190,006 CL short contracts with a total value of about $15.6 million.

Since last night, the address has continued to add to its position over the past hour, with its 3x leveraged CL short position reaching a scale of $24.3 million, an average price of $83.5, a liquidation price of $110, and an unrealized profit of $150,000 (1.7%). It is currently the largest on-chain holder of CL shorts.

Previously, over the past 24 hours, it transferred a total of $11.5 million to Hyperliquid, most of which was used to increase its crude oil short positions. Additionally, the address also holds a 3x leveraged NATGAS (natural gas) short position worth $1.43 million.
