Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Paul Chan: Hong Kong will improve civil aviation laws and regulatory framework to support the long-term standardized development of the low-altitude economy

On February 25, Hong Kong SAR Financial Secretary Paul Chan delivered the government’s budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Regarding the cultivation and expansion of emerging industries, Paul Chan stated that the low-altitude economy is a new driving force for promoting urban intelligence and regional integration development. The Hong Kong SAR government has completed the first phase of legislative amendments and will improve civil aviation laws and regulatory frameworks to lay the foundation for the long-term standardized development of the low-altitude economy and build a competitive ecosystem.
