Citigroup is reportedly close to finalizing agreements to sell an additional 24% stake in its Mexican retail bank to over a dozen investors. This move coincides with Mexican billionaire Fernando Chico Pardo taking control of the business. The potential buyers include Blackstone Inc., General Atlantic, co-CEOs of Grupo Televisa SAB, Brazilian bank Banco BTG Pactual SA, and Mexican pension fund Afore Sura.
