Southwest Airlines dropping service to 2 major US airports

Southwest Airlines announced it will discontinue service to Washington, D.C.'s Dulles International Airport and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport starting June 4, 2026. All flights booked after this date to and from these airports will be canceled, with customers eligible for refunds. The airline will continue to serve the D.C. and Chicago areas via Baltimore-Washington International, Ronald Reagan Washington National, and Chicago Midway International airports.
