NillionAirdropflippening? CMO announced detailed rules to ensure not to let down real contributors

After Nillion Qualifier went live for a few weeks, the Nillion team observed various speculations about the airdrop qualification inside and outside the community. Some people are angry, while others are excited, but the fact is, currently, no one really knows the final distribution. Today, I want to clarify the recipients of Nillion airdrop rewards and explain in detail the methods to ensure that real community members can receive rewards, not just those who treat Nillion Discord as a waiting room for airdrops as "visitors".
What makes Nillion's airdrop different
Before diving into the details, let me be direct and say, "We are doing something different. This may not sit well with some, but we firmly believe that this approach will become a new standard for crypto projects to engage with their communities."
Nillion has always been a leader, not a follower. Remember the community round financing model that was pioneered? Later, many projects followed suit. Now, once again set a new standard, prioritizing the reward for true contributors, not those who are only interested in profit.
All of this would not be possible without the steadfast support of the core community. It is everyone's dedication and belief that have redefined the way in which the value of cryptographic projects is measured in the community.
Measure true community contribution
When designing the airdrop matrix, the Nillion team identified three main categories:
These categories are designed to reward contributions that have a profound impact on the project, including cultural contributions (such as art, writing, design) and technical contributions (such as GitHub code contributions or applications built on Nillion).
Regarding the validator plan, the goal of the Nillion team is to demonstrate the power of community-driven privacy, and we have succeeded. However, at the same time, the team has also encountered challenges of witch attacks and airdrop 'brushes'. Some people use one-click nodes (I actively contact them and ask them to remove Nillion), while others operate multiple wallets, and even some use 40, 50, 60, or even 100+ wallets to obtain airdrop shares that do not belong to them. These situations are not speculation. The team has seen people openly discussing these strategies in some groups on Discord. For example:
Therefore, the team has decided that these accounts will not be included in the airdrop list, even if the eligibility checker currently shows them as eligible. The team must ensure that the rewards truly belong to long-term supporters and core community members of the Nillion project.
Weight distribution based on real impact
So, how do you determine which community contributions carry more weight? The answer is simple: the positive value contribution to the project.
**It's not just about 'how much time was put in,' but whether it really drives the development of Nillion. This means that certain roles and contributions will carry more weight because they have a substantial impact on Nillion.**For example:
Although the team will not disclose specific numerical values or weighting details, they are willing to transparently share their logic and allocation methods as follows:
Value-weighted reward mechanism for NIL airdrops
The team reward system is based on a matrix framework, and the more items users qualify for in the following categories, the rewards will stack and multiply.
Who Will Not Receive Airdrops
The Nillion team is working hard to include as many genuine contributors as possible in the airdrop list, but users will not receive the airdrop if they meet the following conditions, including:
Category 1: Low-engagement secrets submitter
Category 2: Low-engagement late validators
Exclude the above two types of people to ensure that the rewards truly belong to those community members who have been committed and demonstrated real dedication in the long term.
The Significance of the Cryptocurrency Industry
From the first day, the Nillion team designed their program with enough technical challenge to prevent pure 'brushing'.
The pattern Nillion team is building will become the airdrop template for future crypto projects. The first to break the old rules often gets hurt, but it is a price worth paying because the team is setting a higher standard for community recognition. As for those so-called 'unofficial airdrop checkers,' please stay rational, do not believe everything, and wait patiently for the official announcement on Nillion's Twitter.
The Nillion team is not only building a project, but also striving to create a new industry standard, so that the value of the community is truly recognized. Let's move forward together, and we will make Nillion even stronger.
