President Lee Jae-myung is adjusting public social policies to strengthen responses to real estate speculation. Recently, President Lee instructed to exclude multiple property owners and high-priced housing owners from the scope of real estate policies. This measure aims to ensure housing policy fairness and increase vigilance against real estate speculation, demonstrating a stronger commitment to addressing the issue.

In connection with this, conflicts between the Democratic Party and the People Power Party are intensifying. The Democratic Party advocates for a congressional investigation to uncover allegations of prosecution manipulation during the Yoon Suk-yeol administration. Meanwhile, the People Power Party believes this move is an attempt to legitimize President Lee Jae-myung’s related incidents. This indicates that the legal battles between the ruling and opposition parties are deepening.

Additionally, recent performances by BTS at Gwanghwamun have had a significant impact on the retail industry. BTS’s economic influence has been so substantial that it has even given rise to the new term “Ami Economy.” The concert led to a sharp increase in sales at shops and department stores around Gwanghwamun. This fully demonstrates how cultural events can directly influence the economy.

On the other hand, the average annual salary of full-time employees in Korea for 2025 has surpassed 50 million won for the first time. This reflects that, with the overall growth of the Korean economy, wages have increased to some extent. However, wage inequality remains an issue, and additional reforms are needed to improve workers’ living standards.

These changes are likely to have a significant impact on Korea’s future economy and politics. In particular, adjustments to real estate policies and income distribution policies appear to be key issues to monitor continuously.
